Sony SVR-2000 Stuck on standby

Hi guys,
I stupidly through the menu put the tivo on standby and I cant get it off of standby even if I reset the machine
I have a thompson remote that has a standby button but that doesnt seem to work (I think that is one that you are meant to program for your tv standby)
Does anyone know a trick way of getting it off of standby.
When I flick the power off at the switch the tivo has the loading up screen but then goes straight to standby mode and says to switch back on hit the "power" button but I dont seem to have one.

What happens if you press the TiVo button right up the top? Yes, it is a button and not just a stuck on logo.

I thought about that but to get the IP dont I have to check my messages on my tivo?
The one thats currently stuck in standby mode?

Look on your router under 'DHCP server' for a list of assigned adresses, or get a little windows utility called 'angry IP scanner'.
