As someone who can't use the emulator (internet connection issues) I still use loadguide (in fact FTP and dbload25...), which is working fine.

what I don't get, however, is the channel updates that come from the channel slice.

I've poked around the emulator site, and can't find any way to pick up that slice to load manually.

Any suggestions?

(and thanks a heap to tim and Jaidev for giving us data!!!)

Here you go:

http://66.238.88.163/tivo-service/static/Headend/02113-8.slice

When updated the number at the end will increment (if I do it right only by 1; for each f-up I make it will increment +1 ;-) ).

Oh-I'm not entirely sure how manually loading the slice will work... I know you can easily update a manual tivo to emulator with no worries, no idea how/if it will work in a manual-manual process. If you try post the results...

and the result is...

it doesn't work.

DBLOAD accepted it perfectly; no errors at all.

it didn't seem to do anything to the channel lineup, so I just let it be.

A couple of days later, however, I started getting 'your channel lineup has changed' messages, so it must have done something.

Unfortunately, when I go into 'select your lineup', tivo reboots.

sob.

It will all have to sit and wait until I have the time to get the emulator working.

Oh, well, worth a try.

Thanks, Ed.

Thanks, Ed.Bummer. Might try a "rerun guided setup" before a "clear/delete all". The rerun option seems to be relatively non-destructive.
