Can the menu confirmation beep be turned off?

Hi,
Does anyone know if the menu confirmation beep be turned off? It's the noise that comes on each time a selection is made. For some reason it sounds very loud on our TV compared to the volume of a show.

From the main menu (TiVo Central) select Messages & Setup > My Preferences > Audio Options > Sound Effects Volume.

You have a choice of Off/Low/Medium/High.
