Setup Input Query

Hey all, nearly done with the install of my tivo but ive got to the first input source connection diagram and its not showing up my xbox, now iam pretty certian that this is due a dodgey adaptor that i have on the end of it.

So my main question is can i leave this as no video source, and install it later when i get the better conector? Or is it less hassel to wait untill i get this?.

As its an xbox it dosnt need the guide and stuff like that and as well i will need to be doing the 2nd audio input in the near future. Let us know what you think anyway! Thanks dainel

A little confused?

If you haven't had the 2nd audio input mod done yet, how were you planning on connecting both the Xbox and STB?

Or do you already have a PAL Tuner?

How i was going to do it was, to just run the s-video from the xbox to the s-video port without the sound, and still have my stb connected and mute the sound when im recording from the xbox untill i get the mod. Or wouldnt this work?

That will work.

Yes, as Darren said that is fine (I thought you expected sound).

You can re-run the setup to add the xbox at any time without losing your settings.

Also you can use any source to run the setup the first time. So you could use a DVD, STB, PC etc in the S-Video input to set it up the first time.
