Hi folks. I have a D1 HMC, and the other day the EPG simply ceased to be.

I did see a few messages pop up in the EPG over the last few months - typically saying something about http://minnie.tuhs.org/, but I go there, and see nothing helpful.

I'm no Linux guru, so I have no idea how to change things on the D1. The best I could do was run the TV setup again, and it would seem to find the EPG and download it again.

But now, nada. And it appears d1.com.au is no longer either.

So, can anyone with a D1 give me some pointers on how to get the EPG back? I loved that thing...

I'm not intimate with Linux, but I am PC literate. I can hook up a keyboard to the D1 too, if necessary. Not sure how to transfer files to it though... But with some instructions, I'm happy to tinker.

Many thanks!

Where the messages should have pointed you to was www.oztivo.net
Try here:
http://www.oztivo.net/twiki/bin/view/Network/MoveFromMinnieToOzTivoNet

Since you are not using a TiVo, you will need to edit some other file or setting, but the important information is the new server address www.oztivo.net and port 9090

Without knowing how d1 sets their machines up, we can't really help you.

Please ask them how to make the changes so you can use our guide.

Peter.

Thanks for the pointers.

From what I know, the D1 uses MythTV, but it's been modified by D1 to work on their hardware. As such, it's not as easily editable as a regular Linux box. And there's no setup for MythTV to run to change the settings.

And sadly, it seems D1 has passed from this world, so they can't provide help.

I'll see what I can figure out myself in terms of pointing the EPG towards oztivo, but if anyone has a D1 and has made the changes successfully, any further tips would be most welcome!

You are the first D1 user that I know of to contact us here.

You may have more luck on the TVguide mailing list.

Sign up here (https://minnie.tuhs.org/mailman/listinfo/tvguide).

Then post a message asking if anyone has a D1 system and can help you move over.

Failing that try some Myth forums.

Peter.

I hope this helps a number of people out there...

I was sent the attached files upon contacting Development One. I haven't tried them yet but they are to enable one to get the EPG, Weather and Internet Radio webservices data into the HMC. (The paths explained in attached "HMC upgrade readme.txt")

Can someone please try them out and report back here, so that others can try as well?

Cheers
