Hi,
I have been a 'silent' TiVo user for years and our family loves it. Dutifully following instructions to upgrade the url for the Emulator, I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade from an old 1.3 image to the latest Philips 1.6.2 image. All went fine until I had to select the IR code. Selecting the Strong slow 30099 code locked the system. The hand controller would operate, but the TiVo refused to respond. I rebuilt the HD image a number of times, changed the hard disk to another, and each time it would lock up at the same place. I still don't have a resolution, but any help appreciated. Please call on 02 9453 5699 and I'll call you back! It's school holidays and I'll get crucified :-)

Also, I downloaded a new image and burned a new CD to remove the question of a compromised burn, so as I have eliminated everything that I can, I'm hoping that someone can come up with a solution.

Many thanks

There appears to be a problem with that code, use another one.

Peter.

Thanks for the reply Peter. I have been using that code on image 1.3 for about 2 years without a problem. I have also tried all the other codes. FYI, once the TiVo remote stops responding, I can still drive the TiVo through the web remote. I have a working machine now, EXCEPT that the remote won't change the channel. All other functions OK

Pete

Unfortunately that code has become corrupted.

Others who have had the same problem report that one of the other codes work ok.

Which box are you using? I can try and ask others for the code.

Peter.

Srt5066....

You don't think that it is a problem with the IR transmitter..?

no, I'll ask on the mailing list for you.

I think I have fixed the codes.

Run GS using 30129, 30099 should not be there now.

Thanks Peter,
I'll run through GS again this morning.

It works... it works...
Thanks for all your help

Good, it has been on my todo list for a while, but I didn't give it priority as others had reported that one of the other strong codes worked for them.

Peter.
