Hi Guys, I'm having some trouble with my Guide data. Channels up to 30 have plenty of data, but most channels 30+ have run out of data.

The daily call is working fine and I have forced Phone calls a couple of times now, rebooted, etc, still no more data.

Any ideas?

Ta, Phil

Actually noted that last night while looking at Sky Movies - guide data only up to Thursday. Thankfully I don't record much from Sky anyway.

A quick look and I seem also to have lost guide data on high numbered channels, only have a few hours worth left on some, but low numbered channels eg sky1 has data tgrough to 6 nov.

Thats exactly what I am getting. Can somebody who knows about these things please check the state of the guide data slices or whatever it is?

What emulator are you guys on? I'm on the main emulator (port 8000) and am OK.

Must be a lagacy problem, broke. Main emulator looks good at this point, just checked a slice off it.

I don't think so djc as both myself and neilp are on 8000

Well that's odd. Tuesday was the last call, as thats when I gave up force phoning because I wasn't getting any data.

Looks all alright now though.

Thanks once again for your time DJC.

Cheers, Phil

all seems well on legacy now

how do I get my tivo ID btw?

To get your Tivo id, its the Tivo service number in the information screen of the setup menu.

OK, good to heat the legacy emulator righted itself, likely some bad source data came through the system.

A warning, the legacy emulator is at the point of no support. The headends are dated and not maintained. Who knows it may continue to work, but if its slicing engine breaks that will be it, we are on a new codebase now.

The new emulator has been in place for more than two years now - the recommendation remains is to switch. And there are some good benefits in doing so, up to date headends, some episode structures, better data and so on.

Good luck.

The NZ emulators carry the oztivo IR slice, so you should be right. Check on the forums to see if someone has or knows about your codes.

If you made the codes yourself, best check they were uploaded to OzTiVo.

A lot of people have made there own codes, but never bothered to upload them to minnie for others to share. So when time to re-image comes the codes are lost.

Peter.

This could be considered on topic (or not now)...

But my guide data is fast running out.
Appears midday ish tomorrow (Tuesday) is it for most channels... anyone else?
I'm on the 8000 emulator...

Whoops - may just be me... Forced a daily call and notes the last one failed.
This sits on Connecting... then Failed. Service unavailable.
Unless anyone else is also having the issue may be just me.
Where can I download a slice file in the interim while I troubleshoot? Is it the nzdev.slice at ftp://orac.caffeine.co.nz/tivo/slice/ ?

Note -
The SVCLOG file states;
tclient_result TCD_ID=00200002032E93F CALL_ID=1194896548 TIME=1194896765 STATUS=Failed CODE=14

Okay - don't mind me...
Just noticed my tclient had the address 127.0.0.1:8000:::
This obviously worked until recently but stopped for some reason.. changed this to the correct IP address and appears to be working again...

Thanks

The guide data is running out tonight for at least channel 22. Also Can anyone answer this question? I see Saturn still says there is a Sky Movies 1,2 and greats. I only get 1 and greats and i'm starting to think this is because i'm on Analog. Does Saturn Digital, Sky Digital etc get Sky Movies 2?

Well, yes - if you subscribe to Movies, then you'll get the movie package with SKY Movies, SKY Movies 2, SKY Movies Greats, TCM, MGM.
Check Skys website - http://www.sky.co.nz/prices-and-packages.aspx

That's what i'm saying. I pay for the movie channels with Saturn but there's no Movies 2 with that since greats started.

Yes - it is part of Digital but I don't believe it is on offer with the analog service - just Movies 1... Don't panic tho - Sky Movies 2 is just Sky Movies 1 with a 2 hour delay - exactly the same movies though....

This should be fixed as of the recent slice run today. Wait for the next daily call or force one.
