Hi All
Has anyone used a pc to remotely play files from the tivo.
I know you can do it through web plus and windows media player, but i would perfer if possible to use some sort of pvr software to remotely streem media from the tivo.
I think it can be done with an xbox but i would perfer to use a pc based solution. It would be good to have a tivo like menu on the pc to check through now showing to select what to play.
Does anyone use a solution like this

xbox can certainly be used as a media extender and works well as does mplayer as you have suggested.

But if you wanted use a front end like MCE2005, then you'd probably be best off converting the .ty files to regular .mpg's or .avi's first.
