best SD STB to get for tivo - fast channel change etc

Hi All,

I'm in the market for another Tivo from the US - you can get them almost every few days for $39 or less on ebay which is crazy (with buy it now)

I'm not going to bother with PAL tuner mod - and instead hook up a set top box through components.

The last set top box I had (a flash LG one that cost $499) from a few years back was reasonably slow to change channels with. Coupled with the IR blaster - it made for a pretty annoying experience when trying to surf channels from Tivo.

The new panasonic plasma I got with built in HD STB changes channels almost instantly.

So I'm looking for an updated SD STB that can respond to channel change requests from IB blaster quickly - and can get good picture quality.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I have a few different STB's, but the only one that is still for sale is the "Kross" brand from Woolworths. Channel change by the box is fine, but you will never be happy skimming channels using a TiVo as it adds a large delay when using IR.
