Files to Tivo from Mac

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if you can tranfer video files TO a Tivo. I was wondering if it would be possible to treat the Tivo like an AppleTV (play files copied from my Mac to the Tivo HD.)

If so, how do I do it and what format do the files need to be.
Any feedback would be great.

You should look at the ffmpeg with MPEG to TY+ encoding support (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49935) thread on dealdatabase.
