I am having a problem with the guide times on my tivo, I am in Adelaide SA, using Foxtel Digital Cable.

ESPN, FOX Sports are OK.

Other channels such as Comedy, LifeStyle, Fox8, are about half an hour out. The tivos current time displayed at the top of the screen is always correct for all channels, but the tivo guide data is showing the program time data half an hour late (as compared to the foxtel guide at the bottom of the screen). For Example if I try and record SouthPark it records from 8:00-8:30 (as indicated by tivo guide), but the program is actually on at 7:30-8:00.

Is this just incorrect guide data or is there a setup problem with my tivo ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try this first:

If it doesn't work, I'll have to think of something else!

I ran the suggested script timezoneadj30.tcl and set my tivo to GMT, but it was already on GMT as I suspected.

The time on the tivo is correct, for some reason it is picking up the incorrect guide data, ie it seems to be picking up data from vic, hence the half an hour time difference on some channels.

Is there anywhere I can look to confirm this theory ?

In TiVoWeb, click "MFS" and then click "Postalcode" and make sure it's correct. If it's not, then to change it i think (but I dont know if you can change it on the fly) you might have to re-do guided setup.

I have checked the postcode previously, it is set to 05000 as expected for SA.
One thing I did notice is the StationTms seem to all have state = NS, is this correct ?

Just a quick check of mine via TiVoWeb.... and the State is set to NS.

You might want to do another daily call to see if it gets fixed up. I think I remember someone asking on the mailing list why the times are out of sync on the Guide Data. I'll see if I can find the mailing list post in the meantime.

For some reason the TV guide has corrected itself, so everything seems fine now, it remains a mystery what the cause was.

Thanks for your help.

Hiya

I've got a similar problem and thought I might as well jack this thread for it :)

I'm in WA and my guide data for foxtel digital satellite is out by two hours. I've tried a force index, a daily call ( every day for the last three days ) and everything mentioned above but still no luck :(

Im running oztivo 3.0 if it matters

The only thing that I wasnt' able to attempt was tenty's suggestion of making sure State was set to NS. When I go into the MFS > State menu from tivoweb I get this...

Directory listing of /State
Name Type Id Date Time Size
ArmConfig tyDb 2291 08/08/04 10:10 80
AvConfig tyDb 2283 07/27/04 22:14 60
Avalanche tyDb 2277 03/16/04 15:55 56
Database tyDb 2272 08/08/04 07:02 100
GeneralConfig tyDb 2279 07/27/04 02:11 84
LocationConfig tyDb 2278 08/07/04 21:28 88
Media tyDb 2282 03/16/04 15:55 60
MyWorld tyDb 2280 08/08/04 08:55 108
PhoneConfig tyDb 2276 08/08/04 10:10 208
ServiceConfig tyDb 2284 08/08/04 10:10 776

Nothing says NS

My Areacode and Postalcode are correct and my tivo's been working perfectly with correct guide data for about a week now so Im kinda confused :(

any ideas?
