Guys, I've been running out of Guide Data and tonight when I check "Phone" in TivoWebPlus, it states;

Last Successful Call Sunday - 21st Jan
Last Call Attempt - Sunday 21st Jan
Last Attempt Status - Succeeded
Next Scheduled Call - Friday 26th Jan

Why does it appear to be waiting almost a week before calling again. Its been Daily up to now??? And more importantly, how do I get it to call daily again.

I know nothing,, however, I've noticed when I force a daily call the next call date/time gets reset to the next day. Have you tried forcing a daily call? Maybe that will get you back on daily updates. Not trying to tell you how to suck eggs but to force a daily call - remote Trickey Code Clear-LiveTV-Clear or using TivoWebPlus -> Phone -> bar at the bottom "Make Daily Call".

Please attach a copy of your tclient and otclient logs so we can see what's up. Also what Revision of software are you running.

Cheers Pete. I forced a call on Friday night and the Next Scheduled changed to Saturday. However looking at Phone today shows last successful Friday, Next Scheduled Monday.

Running version 1.6.2

My client log files are too long to attach. Can I email them to you?

I would hazzard a guess thet it tried to make a call on Saturday night and was unable to. The logs will tell us what is going on. How is the TiVo connected to the internet?

You can attach them here as .txt or .zip files, but failing that you can email them directly.

Here you go Pete (couldn't attach earlier for some reason).

Anyway, Tivo is connected via Ethernet -> Router -> broadband.

In tclient log, Your good daily call was around 11pm on the 26th.

Then there were many other call attempts.
3:01pm on the 27th too soon, rescheduled for 1:54am on the 28th.
7:49pm on the 27th too soon, rescheduled for 1:50am on the 28th.
7:56pm on the 27th too soon, rescheduled for 1:48am on the 28th.
8:01pm on the 27th too soon, rescheduled for 2:01am on the 28th.
12:02am on the 28th too soon, rescheduled for 0:55am on the 28th.

And this is where the log ends. Check now, the last successful call should have occured around 1am on the 28th.

As for your otclient log, that is a little wierd.

5:56pm on the 21st was the last successful call
11:57pm on the 21st too soon, rescheduled for 9:06pm on the 22nd.
5:37pm on the 22th too soon, rescheduled for 8:45pm on the 22nd.
6:30pm on the 22th too soon, rescheduled for 9:09pm on the 23rd.
5:19pm on the 23rd too soon, rescheduled for 9:21pm on the 23rd.
5:24pm on the 23rd too soon, rescheduled for 8:04pm on the 23rd.
8:06pm on the 23rd dailycall set to use modem, but too early in the evening for a modem call. Rescheduled for 1:06am 24th. (do you have a cron job changing dial prefix?)
12:01am on the 24th too soon, rescheduled for 8:05pm on the 24th.
3:01pm on the 24th too soon, rescheduled for 9:22pm on the 24th.
6:25pm on the 24th too soon, rescheduled for 8:31pm on the 25th.
6:33pm on the 24th too soon, rescheduled for 8:07pm on the 25th.
12:01am on the 25th too soon, rescheduled for 8:23pm on the 25th.
3:01pm on the 25th too soon, rescheduled for 8:23pm on the 25th.
6:05pm on the 25th too soon, rescheduled for 8:15pm on the 26th.
12:01am on the 26th too soon, rescheduled for 8:41pm on the 26th.
3:01pm on the 26th too soon, rescheduled for 9:41pm on the 26th.
5:29pm on the 26th too soon, rescheduled for 9:42pm on the 26th.
9:10pm on the 26th too soon, rescheduled for 7:56pm on the 27th. (so close)
10:32pm on the 26th finally completes a daily call.

Apart from the strange dialup attempt, it looks like the TiVo's random rescheduling was really unlucky for you as you came close to the scheduled call it was pushed another 24 hours away on a few occasions.

Any idea why I am getting those "too soon" msg's. I'd be happy for it to run whenever it likes! :)

I believe if Tivoapp feels like it is short of data, it will initiate a call. But tclient shots it down if too soon to the last call.
