I am wondering if it is possible to use a TIVO as a Media Player. I have Mpegs on my PC which would look a lot better on my TV and would like to copy them to the TIVO to play them
Is this possible and if so how can I do it?
Thanks

Convert to and from most video formats (including DivX, XviD, mpeg, rm, TiVo .ty, etc)
Download and convert Google & YouTube video's
Rip and convert DVD's
Multiple conversion profiles with auto profile assignment
Convert web pages into images
Automatically letterbox videos (including adding padding for overscan)
Image conversion and resizing
Drag & drop support for files and url's
Monitor directories for new videos
Schedule the times when encoding & transfers are performed
Perform pre & post processing on selected files
Act as a web server (with support for PHP 5)
and much more ...

Otherwise get a cheap xbox with a remote and mod it. XBox Media Centre (XBMC) is very cool.
