I have a Topfield tf4000t set top box and as noted in the IR database it has issues when the zero is sent to it - it jumps to the display settings in the set top box and stays that way for all the recordings afterwards.

One of the comments in the database was to corrupt the zero but i don't know how - i tried just removing all the numbers in the tpl file after the zero but that didn't work to good - the tivo wouldnt boot afterwards.

Anyone know the correct way?

Substitute the '0' code for any other valid code from a different STB in the Database. As long as you don't have any devices that use this code, it will be ignored.

Shouldn't be a problem if you use an existing code from one of the tcl's in the database.
