I had a different problem that invovled season pass's but the way i fixed it was to do a guided setup again. (reset option from setup menu with the guided setup)
It doesn't delete any of your season pass's and you'll keep all your now showing episodes and it only takes about 15min so if i were you i'd give that a try.
as to why it happened i haven't got a clue.

Amilgrom, who is your ISP?
We have had recent reports of problems with TPG.

I Have exactly the same problem here and with TPG.
Any suggested workaround?

ok. I've done the manual load slice thing.
Got all channels except ABC2 Dig.
I'll live with that for now.
I'll start looking through logs.

It looks like TPG have added a transparent proxy which has stuffed up quite a few TiVo's.
The best/easiest thing to do is to call TPG and get them to remove 131.244.9.101 from the new proxy or make the proxy compatible with http 1.0.
Failing that you will need to install emuproxy2 on your TiVo see BypassTransparentProxyServer (http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/Network/BypassTransparentProxyServer).

I also have seen the same issue stuff my guide downloads up. Unfortunately I wasn't smart enough to read the forum before reimaging my drive and starting from scratch.
I called TPG this afternoon, 25/6 1:30pm. I was told to send an email to :-
'squid@tpg.com.au'
I wrote :-
I am having trouble since an IP address has been added to your transparent proxy server. I have been asked by your help desk to sent an email and ask for it to be removed. Please see below.

ok, just got off the phone from TPG - i spoke with Kenny, she was quite helpful.
she was aware of the issue with tivos (probably a couple of people have already called in) & said that they will remove me from the transparent proxy.
apparently they have to put a request into "squid" to do this and it might take a couple of days...
is there a way to get info to the tivo in the meantime?
thanks,
A

Try forcing a daily call now.
Some people have reported the proxy has already been removed from some states.

I've been having this problem intermittantly over the last few months but I'm a Bigpond Cable user. Is anyone aware of what I can do to sort this out?

I seem to be in the same boat. Are there any Exetel users having problems?

In my case I've looked at the logs on both my TiVo's. They seem to be connecting, they get as far as either Setting Clock or Downloading. They then either freeze up for several minutes (waiting for something) and then bring up the message "Failed. Call Interrupted". Alternatively, they come back with "Failed. Service Unavilable.) Anyone have any ideas?

How old is the image that both of you are using?
David: Bigpond cable needs a heartbeat to stay online, what is providing this when your PC is off?
Daggo: how long have you been having the problem, I also use Exetel, but have not been at home for the last 3 months to confirm it is still ok.

Well I am umm arring about exetel. I gave a mate a TiVO without a network card a couple of weeks ago, and he is on extel too. Set it up and showed him how to to do a call with his laptop etc. I made it work and went away. But when he went to do a call it just sits there saying "setting up". I put this down to him not his way around the TiVO universe yet, and I'd fix it up we I see him next.
Then I seem to get the same problem. I did notice that for my TiVO to show the those other 3 channels that came on (FoxSports3 etc). That I didn't get the message that were ready for me until last week. I didn't give it much thought as it didn't change the channels numbers of all the other channels, and I wasn't all the interested in them anyway.
It was pointed out to me that exetel were/are going to throttle P2P stuff (so is big poo) and I don't know how they are going to do it and if it will have an impact on TiVO. I was waiting for more info before I started pointing the bone at exetel. I started a new theard about my problem so I'll pass info I get there.

Pate, I'm using 1.4 on both Tivo's. Neither TiVo will update even when I force a call in TivoWeb. They will occasionally update after about 20-30 calls.

This may be way off the beam but could there be a problem with Minnie? Both TiVo's seem to be able to connect (no transparent proxy issue that I can see) and then terminate part way through. I don't seem to have any network issues that I can determine and the ISP (Bigpond) remains connected via my Router. An extract from the tclient log is shown below

Just managed to force a call for both TiVo's. Think I managed to work out what's going on and I feel like a right Twit! I have VOIP as well and the Router is set to ensure that I am connected at all times. By resetting the timeout on the Router to 5 mins, both Tivo's seem to be able to connect. I'll keep watch and see if the problem is solved permanently.

This line tells me that you have/had a proxy issue. It should read HTTP/1.1 same as the next line.
But if it's working again, well and good.

P2P throttling will not affect the TiVo as it uses Wget's to pull the info down.
Peter.
