TiVo and Macrovision

Hi All

Has anybody tried recording PayPerView Movies from Foxtel Digital? I understand they use macrovision copy protection and I'm unsure what effect this has on a TiVo running the latest ozTiVo image? Anybody played with this?

I don't think there would be any issues.. I've patched a dvd player with a DVD Movie through my tivo before for testing and it's displayed/recorded just fine. I believe Macrovision interferes with the sync signal and only affects VCR's (?)

Yes, I've done DVD's too, I hadn't thought of that... In fact I regularly use a DVD to test the AV inputs on TiVos without any problems. So I think you're probably right. A friend is going to test it for me so we should have a definite answer soon!
