Hi Steven,
Google for and try PuTTY, an alternative telnet client. IIRC there are issues with the Windows telnet client and the TiVo.
Cheers, Divad.
I've just installed my new US Tivo with the OzTivo version 1.3 build. Everything is working fine (Guide data, TivoWeb, FTP etc.) EXCEPT Telnet. Every time I try to connect (using the standard client in Windows 2003) it immediately disconnects with no on-screen message. Checking the kernel log on the Tivo shows 2 lines each time I try to connect:
Where xxx is a different 3-digit number each time.Feb 3 21:21:04 (none) kernel: About to check tasks for tty to shutdown
Feb 3 21:21:04 (none) kernel: /devbin/tnlited.sh: line 15: xxx Segmentation fault /sbin/tnlited 23 /bin/bash -login
Has anybody got any idea what's going on?

Thanks David, that's fixed it!
I must admit I was sceptical that it would be the client, but having seen the colour coding when I connected, I'm not surprised the that standard Windoze telnet client can't handle it!
