    Unusual Series 3 Tivo motherboard

Here's an unusual motherboard I haven't seen before .Has a momentary switch near Prom(which already had a socket) Might have been a special developers board? Or is this common?

It's a reset switch. Give it a press

By itself no. Just resets the TiVo without pulling the plug. Can be useful if you are looking for some bootstrap code or something that happens on startup.

    Hi Darren,
Apparently it was an early test unit supplied by Hybrid TV in Sydney, hence the pre soldered socket and reset button.

Yes they would have been playing around with things. I put a button on a couple of mine a while ago when testing.
