Given the lack of response and flexibility from Tivo (the company) and the whole debarkel around the price of the home networking pack I have decided to abandon my search for a tivo and go for foxtel...

This morning I have been able to find them for $580 (bulk purchase, excluding wirless adapter).

BUT it has now become more about the hunt to match $499 with wireless then it has about actualy...

The SMH mentioned this morning that internode would be offering the Tivo, a Wireless router, Wireless card and an unlim Internet plan for somewhere between $79-$99 a month on a 24 month contract....

CParrill, I have a spare S1 Tivo for sale if you are interested. Make an offer?
(I think it only has an 80gb drive, but does have a turbonet card)

Here is what I have learnt so far (can anybody confirm?)
1) There is next to NO margin on the Tivo for retailers
2) The cost actualy paid by the retails depends on when they purchased them.
