What is the correct way to get the time set correctly after running GS? I have an entry for my postcode (02115) in /etc/postcodezones, the file /hack/zoneinfo/Pacific/Auckland exists and I have run the fixtivotime script.

The output of fixtivotime indicates that it appears to be set correctly but the guide data is 5 hours behind. I have forced a daily phonecall now that the time appears to be correct (from the console at least) just in case that might have helped but the guide data is still 5 hours behind.

Where to from here? Thanks...

Have you rebooted your tivo?

Telnet into your tivo and type:

date

Confirm that the date and time is correct.

If it is then type:

settime -rtc

Reboot your tivo. This should then correct your time problem.

The date command showed the correct time but guide info was all out by 5 hours. Settime -rtc followed by a reboot seems to have done the trick, thanks... :)
