Hi,
Darren King has kindly set up my new Tivo via a Turbonet connection however I did not get one installed as I am going to use the internal modem for a brief while, until I upgrade my PC etc.
When I (eventually work out how to) get in via the serial cable I bought with it, will I have to clear everything so it detects a serial connection instead of a Turbonet card before I put the ISP etc in?
Also, I have no options under Phone setup on screen, as I guess it thinks it has the Turbonet card still.
Any help would be appreciated please? (I promise to upgrade and contribute via our Linux guys at work - they were frustrated on Friday working trying to connect)
Thanks, Peter

Hi Peter,

will I have to clear everything so it detects a serial connection instead of a Turbonet card

No, once you have a serial connection working you can follow this:

I have no options under Phone setup on screen, as I guess it thinks it has the Turbonet card still.

No it's a known issue - that menu doesn't work when the TiVo runs in PAL mode.

Cheers, Dave.
