Hi,

I have a US SONY SVR-2000. I have just put in an 80GB IBM HD (formerly
used on my PC as NTFS with Windows XP) with the most recent image of
OzTiVo restored onto it.
The TiVo is booting, and I get up to the first "welcome to TiVo" screen.
I am supposed to press "select" on my remote to proceed, but nothing
happens. In fact, it seems that the remote is not doing anything (even the
power button has no effect).
It is not a HW problem, because when I put the original 30 GB disk, all is
normal and everything works.
Any ideas?
Is there a checksum on the ISO image, or the restore file? Would there be
a formatting problem with my HD?

Thanks,

Gideon

You have to go to the OzTiVo website and look at the FAQ bit on using a Sony remote with the OzTiVo image. The OzTiVo image in it's native form needs a Philips remote, or some software tweaks to get a Sony remote working. The easiest solution if you are not software savvy is to buy a Philips remote.

Thanks!

There should be a note about this in the "prepareTiVoDisk" instructions,
so that newbies like me are not totally lost.
