If so, are you impressed?

Is the transfer fast enough to support real-time playback, or do you have buffering delays? (and what sort of network connection are you using?

Do you need one HNP license per TiVo or just one per household? Not quite sure from the information here (http://www.mytivo.com.au/whatistivo/accessories/homenetworking/multiroomviewing/).

It's working fine at my Mum's. They have one TiVo connected to the router by Ethernet, and a second in another room connected by wireless.

You go to one, go to Now Playing, select the other TiVo at the bottom of the list, then the list of programs in that TiVo appears straight away.

Select one to transfer and watch, usually wait five or so minutes before starting to watch, or just leave for a while and watch once finished transferring. Had no problems so far.

Both TiVos are on the one household license.

You just need one HNP per account for all TiVo's to be able to see each other and watch shows on any of them. With a wired connection transfers are faster than real time.

Thanks for the replies. Good news about the HNP licenses.

Sounds as if it's worth a go, if I can get hold of a second TiVo at a decent price.

No CAT5 cabling in my house yet, so my connections will be via wireless to one TiVo and via a pair of Netcomm Homeplugs (http://www.cnet.com.au/netcomm-np201av-homeplug-339297336.htm) to the other.
