just ordered HNP, how long does Tivo normally take to send the link to download the software....or actually, what happens next?

You should get an email within minutes confirming your purchase and the HNP key (a series of numbers not unlike a windows registration).

You download the actual PC software yourself which is available from the TiVo website. Install it and then enter the HNP key.

hmmm - I purchased mine at about 1am this morning and still haven't received mine (I did get an email confirmation of the purchase though).

Nothing has shown up on mytivo.com.au/dashboard either.

^^ same here, no email or MAK on tivo settings screen. maybe they are overwhelmed with the $10 orders :-)

Have you both used the link in the email, and does it show as having HNP activated on your mytivo account? if it does, it can (under normal circumstances) take upto 24 hours to become active on yout TiVo.

Is there any plans for another one day sale.... I remebered about this one at 4am this morning. :(

It would be good for those who get a tivo for christmas.

Please...

To quote myself from the whirlpool forum:

I was waiting on my emails too – but then I went to my dashboard page on mytivo.com.au and found a link that said something about resenting all outstanding tokens. Sorry, but I can't find it again now – just poke around until you come across it.

Anyway, I'm assuming that my spam filter must have nabbed the original emails, because I turned it off before having all outstanding tokens sent again. Sure enough I received the emails right away and was able to activate the HNP immediately – although it has taken until this morning for the Tivo to receive the MAK.

Sorry to be vague, but I hope that helps someone out.

They are unlikely to have another sale soon, but anyone who buys the new 320Gb model gets free HNP till the end of January.

Also if you buy the old model from HN or JB (or the tivo.com.au website but more expensive) you also get free HNP, I don't know when this offer expires so ask in shop first.
