I have just looked on my tivos and found there is no guide data from midnight for TV1 and other channels are short on data from a few days out.
Have done phone calls with no change.
Has anyone got this problem?

Thanks in advance

It may be related to the issues you are having with the Disney Channel (http://forums.oztivo.net/showthread.php?t=2121).

May be a wider issue.
I too have nothing for TV1 now, nothing on TV2 from midnight Friday and TV3 runs out midday Sunday.

? oh dear :-(

I might have misunderstood, I thought TV1 was the retro PayTV channel.

If you mean Local TV1, then it has nothing to to with our data.

TV1 as in the free to air "One"... Plus most other channels... Given multiple users having the issue it does seem to be an issue with the guide data...

By our Data I mean OzTiVo.

We do not provide the data for any of your local stations.

We only provide data for some of your PayTV stations.

gotcha :-)

Tried a clear & delete of guide data but got the same result back - no improvement :-(

all channels blank despite successful calls
not sure what is causing this but it appears I'm not alone
any assistance greatly appreciated please

but maybe the phone display gives some evidence:

Last Successful Call: Thursday, 7th May at 20:49
Last Call Attempt: Thursday, 7th May at 20:49
Last Attempt Status: Succeeded
Next Scheduled Call: Friday, 8th May at 05:32
Prog. Guide Data to: Thursday, 21st May 2009
Software Version: 3.0-01-1-000

It's saying the guide data goes through to 21st May. That's way too late. Should be around Wed 13th at the latest.

Looking at my GDChecker grid the last channels finish at 12:30pm Sun 10th. TV 1 has finished already.

So has some rogue data come through with the NZ guide data that's confused Tivo?

KiwiKen

yes that is exactly my scenario

21st May seems right to me. There is normally two weeks of guide data, albeit the second week is just the news predicted to be at the same time as usual.
I have no guide data after Saturday.

I've only checked TV1 FTA and valid data ran out late Wednesday May 6th and all that shows is One News at 6pm, with multiple repeats of it.
I've just made a call and there's been no change.

Clearly a global problem as I have same issue.

Don't wish to appear paranoid, and generally hate conspiracy theorists, but is it possible that this is related to the imminent arrival of TiVo through "official" channels into NZ?

I don't understand the technicalities of how data is created (see other current thread in this section of the forum), so don't know if the data comes from a source that might have been turned off for a while while whoever controls it tests something, whether it's for lack of people inputting the data, or whether it's because the local data extraction mechanism is broken. It would be helpful to know a bit more about how NZ data is created so we have a better idea of what the problem is likely to be when this happens again.

Plus of course we need some help now. Jaidev?

Conspiracy theories aside, two things I have noticed that may assist (?);
1 - after a clear and delete 12 hours ago I still have nothing populate to my to do list,
2 - when I do a call, even after doing one a few minutes before it appears to download a new slice...

Perhaps this suggests a bad data slice currently available ?

Sorry I m not anywhere near my TiVo for the next 24 hours so can't offer to try things out for a while.

Cheers
Neil

I have just forced a phone call on my TiVos and now have guide data on all.
Many thanks to whoever has fixed the lack of data.

I had the same problem, TV1 - news only, TV2 till midnight on one and PHouse with nothing. I've forced a call through the web interface and it looks like the guides have been repopulated.

Me too, thanks guys.

One of my TiVos simply worked, but the other needed a reboot to populate the ToDo list correctly. Now both fine.

It would be instructive though if someone could tell us what the problem was, who fixed it, and in layman's terms what was done.

There is a loss of data again.

Our guide data has just run out for TV1 & TV2. All other channels look OK tho??? No obvious problems with other channels.

Does anyone know how to alert the guys who support the emulator???

Neil.

Ditto here. FTA has endless One News at 6pm. And 3 news on 3 ad infinitum. Other channels look to run out of data tonight.

TV1 has loads of instances all timed at 6pm, TV2 has nothing, TV3 goes through to 6pm tomorrow (but looks patchy) and then also at 6pm has loads of instances of news.

Most channels I checked are going to run out tomorrow sometime.

I just forced a daily call and it succeeded but no improvement to the GD.

We have data again. :) Just in time for the long weekend...

If you do a daily call now you should get data for the next week.

It looks like there was a glitch which has stopped the data being generated properly since saturday. I believe DJC fixed the issue last night and the latest slice is ok.

PS: a lot of the code is in python.

Appreciate the work guys!

I have guide data on all my TiVos.

Many thanks to whoever cured it.

Just wondering if there is a more efficient way to notify of problems in the future or maybe a script that could ring alarm bells when guide data is below a preset percentage populated ?

In hindsight I know now the warning signs. A logfile gets generated from the data generation, if its over 1MB it's all good. If it's ~60Kb we have an issue. So it will be caugh earlier next time.
