I'm a little confused here. Are you using the TiVo's modem to dial in? If so there's some info here:

http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/Howtonetwork/NetworkingWithBuiltinModem

Otherwise what many do is connect the TiVo to their internet connected PC using the serial cable, establish a SerialPPP connection from PC to TiVo and set up routing on the PC so that the TiVo can get to the internet.

Lots of information on this for various PCs & Operating Systems here:

http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/Howtonetwork/WebHome

Cheers, Dave.

Thanks dave, but My Tivo wont be near the PC when Im done, it will be near a phone line so I wanted to get it going. Gone through the docs and am trying to dial Ozemail in syd which is not listed in the ISP list.

Also, dont understand what the IP addr will do in the dial in string as Ozemail hands you an IP address.

thats all. Got any ideas?

That's the address of minnie.tuhs.org which runs the OzTiVo emulator so that, once connected, your TiVo knows where to connect.

Hope this helps. Need sleep now.

Cheers, Dave.

Sounds like your ISP is not compatible with the TiVo.

Have you read the docs. over at OzTiVo that talk about this?

Do not ask me why, but 02 in the dialup string was the cause????

All working now...
