Do you still need a season pass to get access to everything in Australia?

What does it allow you to do extra?
I was under the impression that if you install the Oz software you don't need to register, is this right?

Hi blontic,

A Season Pass is nothing to do with access to the TiVo service or additional features.

It's the name given to being able to have the TiVo record every episode of a particular show automatically for you. You're getting a Season Pass to that show.

So once you've set up the TiVo and the first set of guide data has been downloaded and indexed you can then use either the remote control or TiVoWeb to choose the programs you like and set up Season's Passes for them. Then the TiVo will record these shows automatically for you - no further action required.

And yes. Access to the OzTiVo service emulator with bi-weekly updates of TV Guide data is free. Once you've bought your TiVo and got it up and running that's it costs-wise. The service is provided by hobbyists for hobbyists.

Cheers, Dave.
