My tivo looks like it changed off daylight saving time on the old date, not the new one, i.e. next week.

Any ideas on how to change the time?

Thanks

I had this problem this morning and fixed it by following the instructions here:

http://minnie.tuhs.org/pipermail/oztivo/2008-March/032814.html

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for this - followed the instructions and when I enter the "fixtivotime" command it says command not found and the time is unchanged.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I fixed it - didn't run the last command but forced a daily call and it's corrected it so many thanks for your help.

For others following ths thread,

The commands you need if you are NOT running Oztivo 1.6 or higher.

rw

rsync -rv 131.244.9.101::oztivo_timezones . <- Note the final space then the dot!

Do a Daily call.

Peter.

Hi
I have tried doing a Daily Call twice this morning, both calls said "Updating Time", both succeeded, but my TiVo's time is still an hour out.
Has minnie been fixed to return the correct time?
If not, is there a manual fix for this that won't get overwritten by the next Daily Call?

This has caught a lot of people out. I must admit I didn't know the government had decided to change the day that daylight savings ended until my wife complained that none of her programs were recording last night! Luckily we keep our computes at work fully patched, so it hasn't been a problem here.

PS
I am running OzTivo 1.6.2-20070128 on the TiVo that I am trying to get straight (my other one is an older image, but I won't worry about that one until I can get this one right).
Before I noticed what version I have, I thought maybe I need to try the command that Pete listed, and then do a daily call, but I'm still an hour out.

Pete - you do know that the problem isn't that the TiVo's have noit updated their time at the end of Daylight savings, but that they have done it a week too soon, and we are trying to set them straight again?

Cheers

Rob

For users of 1.6 or above who have not kept their TiVo's up to date, you need to telnet in and do 'update_oztivo -y' or you should be able to do CLEAR 9 2 CLEAR from your remote.

After either of those, a daily call should fix your time.

Hi Guys

Is there a remote "trickery code" to force a daily call?

Thanx

You will find all the remote codes here (http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/Howto/RemoteControlCheatCodes).

The following Trickey Codes will work with OzTiVo Version 1.6 and higher, earlier version only have some or none of these codes.

Push each button within 3 secs of each other:

Clear-1-Clear.....................................Displays Tivo IP address on-screen

Clear-2-Clear.....................................Displays Tivo uptime on-screen

Clear-3-Clear.....................................Displays Tivo temp on-screen

Clear-4-Clear.....................................Displays OzTivo? Version on-screen

Clear-LiveTV-Clear............................Force a Daily Call

Clear-9-1-Clear.................................Set Tivo to Maintenance Mode on next reboot

Clear-9-2-Clear.................................Update the Tivo software

Clear-9-3-Clear.................................Download the latest station logos

(image 1.6.1 and later)

Clear-8-1-Clear.................................Force a slice index

Clear-8-2-Clear.................................Set NTSC mode

Clear-8-3-Clear.................................Set PAL mode
