TiVo series 1 Randomly PAUSES

After installing InstantCake (SW-ICAKE-S1SA-DL-002) 2 Weeks ago to replace my failing Seagate 120GB with a Seagate 320GB on my TiVo series 1 Phillips HR312, then 1 week ago when it is in PLAY Mode, it Randomly goes into PAUSE Mode once or twice an hour or two. Anybody have any ideas how to Fix???
Thanks

Where are you located? You do not say in your profile and InstantCake is not a supported software package for OzTiVo users.

Please add those details to your profile, so we know you are not from this region and will answer questions accordingly.

Have you done a low level scan of your new hard drive before installing the instantcake software?

HI Peter
Thanks for the info, but
NO, as this was a NEW hard drive out of the Seagate box

That don't mean a thing. I've seen brand new hard disks with problems. Granted it is not common but it does happen.

I suggest getting the utility SeaTools from the Seagate website and ruling out an issue with bad sectors on the hard disk before anything else.

Appears to be hard disk related if you are seeing an improvement.

Did you happen to run SeaTools on the 320GB and see what it says?
