Hey guys,
I have had my TiVo for about a year now and has been working perfectly.

but since moving houses my TiVo has not been working properly, when I 1st plugged it back in and played some recordings they glitches and jumped at times. Now it wont even turn on it is stuck at the "your recorder is starting up please wait a moment". I have rebooted it a few times but it just keeps getting stuck at the same spot.

Also i should mention i have not updated my TV guide data in a long time due to the fact my TiVo was out of range of my network. I also have no idea what version of the TiVo image I have loaded sorry

Any ideas guys?

Most likely dead hard disk. The two clues are in your description:

when I 1st plugged it back in and played some recordings they glitches and jumped at times.

This indicates bad sectors on the hard disk

Now it wont even turn on it is stuck at the "your recorder is starting up please wait a moment".

This means the hard disk is not even being read. That screen is in the bootprom (like a PC BIOS) and not on the hard disk.

Assuming you have tried checking that all cables from motherboard and power supply are correctly seated the next step is to load the TiVo image onto another hard disk and see if that makes any difference. Anything from 4GB and up will do as a test hard disk. Latest images are located here: http://files.oztivo.net/images/iso/

thax Darren for your reply
When I went to open up the TiVo to put in a new hdd if noticed that the power to the motherboard wasn’t attached fully and just need a lil push in and now it works perfectly
